The Falling Impossible album

Our debut album The Falling Impossible

After five years of recording and playing our music, and releasing it only digitally, Cinemascape finally present a physical album. It’s called The Falling Impossible and consists of thirteen tracks, some brand new and some older – but each one is newly mixed and mastered. We hope this album will appeal to our loyal followers as well as to a new and wider audience!

  2. Modern Death
  3. Suicidal Teenage Boy
  4. Names of Things
  5. Bloodstained
  6. Face the Night

About the album

We had a hard time choosing which songs to put on the record, since we have recorded quite a few over the years. The decision was made that some favourites had to step aside for the time being, and leave room for newer material – otherwise the album wouldn’t represent our current sound and direction.

Among the new material here, Night Vision to us is a standout track. It’s our most recent song and we are very happy with its haunting and dark sound.

There are two solo tracks each for Johan (The Sky and Face the Night) and Sebastian (Maskless and Suicidal Teenage Boy) on the album, something that provides variation to Cinemascape’s usual duet oriented concept.

All the older songs have been re-worked and/or re-recorded. For instance, Bloodstained and I Won’t Come Home Tonight have new vocals, while Names of Things and Modern Death have undergone other kinds of subtle improvements. Deep Waters is, in fact, a new version of Jours de plastique with English lyrics. As much as we loved the atmosphere of the French words, we think that this remake is even better.

The album closes with the majestic The Comforting Night, which, in our opinion, is one of our most beautiful compositions.
